How to Clean Your Hard Drive with SURERASE

SURERASE Pro Reporting Instructions

During the erase process, SurErase captures certain system configuration information and statistics and writes them to your SurErase USB Key. The process below allows you to register the information and to create reports that may prove useful for tax purposes, to resell the computer, or to prove that the system/drive was wiped.

1. Insert the SurErase USB Key into any working system that is running a Microsoft Windows operating system and is connected to the Internet. Note: Inserting the SurErase USB Key in a working computer without the SurErase CD will NOT perform an erase.

Depending upon your system setup, you may be automatically prompted to register your SurErase results. If so, skip to Step xxx. Otherwise, continue with Step 2.

2. If your system does not automatically prompt you to register your SurErase results, open a window to view your computer's drives. In Vista, this is done by selecting "Computer" from the Start Menu. In XP and older operating systems, this is done by selecting "My Computer" from the Start Menu. Very old Windows systems may use a different method.
