- My system will not boot from the SurErase CD
- Nothing to worry about. Some systems are not configured to boot automatically from the CD. Please refer to our Instructions for configuring the system to boot off of the CD
- What do I do if I have to abort before SurErase completes?
- There are no issues with aborting the SurErase process. But, you must remember that if you abort before the process is complete, there is still recoverable information on the drive. You must restart the process from the beginning to make sure that your disk has been completely erased.
- I'm afraid to insert my SurErase USB Key into a working computer. Won't this erase my data on that computer?
- No, it will not. The SurErase USB Key can only erase your data if it is in the same system as the SurErase CD. Inserting the SurErase USB Key into any computer WITHOUT the CD poses no risk to your computer.

- SurErase⢠does not detect SATA disk in my computer?
- Set the SATA mode in the BIOS to 'Legacy'. In most PCs, there are two SATA modes: 'Legacy' and 'Native'. 'Legacy' mode is generally considered to be more compatible, while 'Native' mode allows special features of the drive to be used by the operating system.
